    Linux driver useless

So after over 6 months you finally release a new driver. And what do you do? You don't add support for the new kernels. Distro's move on but AMD is stuck in the past? So the new driver is useless the day it's released. Just stupid.

The opensource drivers have been working fine for me. What is it that you need from the proprietary ones?

Performance? Why is it so weird for a hardware vendor to deliver driver with their hardware? I'm a paying customer and I expect drivers with it to get the most out of the hardware. Another high performance graphics card vendor does just that. That's the company my next card will be from. AMD had enough time to create decent Linux driver. They apparently don't care about their business enough.
