GTA 5 - overclocking has no affect on the fps?

      Hey!

My AMD 6950 has been having troubles with GTA 5 from the start but I am not surprised because it is quite old and only has 1gb of ram. I updated the drivers, forgot to overclock it and I realized that overclocking has pretty much no affect on the fps in GTA 5. And this bothers me because usually OC works very well and gives noticeably more fps without causing any problems in other games.

I tried this with 3 different drivers. 14.12, 15.4 and 15.5 and they all have the same problem.

      GTA V Benchmark with Fraps:

      Benchmark 1

[15.5, texture filtering - standard, w/o OC, 1080p, no V-sync, settings as low as possible]

      min: 40

      max: 96

      avg: 61

[15.5, texture filtering - standard, OC, 1080p, no V-sync, settings as low as possible]

      min: 38

      max: 105

      avg: 63

      Benchmark 2

[15.5, texture filtering - performance, w/o OC, 1080p, no V-sync, settings as low as possible]

      min: 38

      max: 106

      avg: 66

[15.5, texture filtering - performance, OC, 1080p, no V-sync, settings as low as possible]

      min: 40

      max: 107

      avg: 66

NOTE: OC - [core from stock  870 to 900, memory from stock 1250 to 1300, power limit from 0% to 20%]

      PC specs:

      CPU - i5 3570k @ 3.8Ghz

      RAM - 8gb 1600 DDR3

      PSU - 650w

This seems to be a problem with drivers. I would really appreciate if I could get more fps thx to OC.

      Regards,

      Karl
