9. When this issue first appeared
Playing WoW and listening to video on second monitor, second monitor turned grey, then first monitor flashed bits of screen. This goes on for around 10 seconds, then computer crashes.
The monitors DO have different resolutions, if that may be causing it.
10. Steps you have tried to resolve this issue
update driver, refreshed PC
If only one monitor is plugged in, it will still do this, but will have no flashing, just the shade.
Playing a game (3D) and watching/playing a 2D application at the same time can cause this. Try disabling hardware acceleration, use software rendering. I don't use chrome so I can't tell you where it is, but it has this option for this reason.
Just did. Didn't work on CKII, though this time the shade was green tubes far more than a shade. Trying with WoW.
It also does this if I use iTunes or Microsoft's Music app.
I think I have the same problem , does the computer freezes and restarts with error code DPC WATCDOG VIOLATION
It never gives me an error code.
