While profiling an OpenCL application on my Radeon HD 7970, I noticed that CodeXL 1.6-7247 on Ubuntu 12.04 does not display the enqueueFillBuffer calls on the kernel execution timeline. Of course it is not a kernel call but because such a call between two kernels will delay the beginning of the execution of the second one, it will be useful to display it.
The programer will have that way a better understanding of what is really happening on the device.
Yes, this looks like an oversight. I will file a bug report so we can investigate a fix for this.
