Mainboard PCIe Gen 2.0 installs ATI Radeon 7850

Hello everyone,

I have two ATI card. The first one is HD Radeon 6770, it works well with my machines.

When I try with ATI HD Radeon 7850 card, some exceptions are risen. For example: running bursting_CS and cal_idct samples

$./bursting_CS

Supported CAL Runtime Version: 1.3.185

Found CAL Runtime Version: 1.4.1720

There was an error compiling the program.

Error string is Fatal Error: Unsupported program construct detected in back-end!

 

 

$./cal_idct

Error: Program compilation failed. Exiting.

 

some other sample running well such as FindNumDevices

$./FindNumDevices

some information about my machines

OS: Ubuntu 12.04

ATI Driver: catalyst-13.4

AtiStreamCal: atistream-1.4.0

 

I have tried with two difference machines, the first one's mainboard is GA-X58A-UD5 (rev. 2.0) and the other one's mainboard is GA-X38-DO6
