Hello,

I have a problem getting OpenCL to work with AMD Radeon HD 8570. When I try to run programs from AMD APP SDK v2.5, I get the following message:

"GPU not found. Falling back to CPU device".

When I run 'fglrxinfo'  it returns

display: :0.0  screen: 0

OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon HD 8570 

OpenGL version string: 4.3.12614 Compatibility Profile Context 13.101

I'm working on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with Catalyst 13.25.5 installed.

I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could help me to solve this issue.

what did you install first? AMD APP SDK or Catalyst. If you install SDK it can happened that it install older version of OpenCL and then Catalyst doesn't update it. SDK 2.5 is quite old so it is possible that your GPU is not supported in that version. try upgrade to latest SDK 2.9.
