Hi, my laptop doesn't have an AMD GPU and therefore doesn't require catalyst to be installed. However occasionally I would like to build OpenCL binaries for an AMD SI chipset, using the CodeXL static kernel analyzer tool for my target machine. CodeXL installs on the laptop but the analyze options do not have any available targets. I assume catalyst is required to provide targets, or perhaps the building itself needs catalyst files, perhaps the compiler is in catalyst only.
Can someone let me know if this scenario is possible? i.e. can some files be copied over from catalyst to the laptop so that the laptop could build binaries only? Or is catalyst installation absolutely required and in addition to, some AMD devices have to be on the system in this case the laptop.
