I just saw that with Catalyst 12.10 AMD added "full" WDDM 1.2 support.
I have a Radeon HD 6900 series (core cayman) on my current developer workstation.
I had a quick look ad DirectX Caps Viewer and I saw that most Direct3D 11.1 new formats and features are supported with the last driver, except for a small sets and ofcourse the full D3D_FEATURE_LEVEL_11_1.
I know the last GPUs series is the Radeon HD 7000 series, and I know that the previous GPUs were not built for to support the D3D_FEATURE_LEVEL_11_1 but everyone here know that some features, like UAV for all shader stage, could be potentially added with a driver update (OpenGL 4.x have a similar feature that is supported on HD 6000 and 5000 series). This also could give developers a solid base for future games (and obviously a full D3D_FEATURE_LEVEL_11_1 support would be great!)..
So, will AMD add support for the new UAV, so developer can use UAVs on all shader stage also on Radeon HD 6000 and Radeon HD 5000 series?
