I work for a construction company and in one of our departments we have Dell Vostro 260s with AMD Radeon 6450 for the video card. As such they have the AMD Catalyst Control Center suite installed. We also run a program named Sage Timberline for accounting and other uses. I was not around when the installation of these machine occurred in the company, but I've been tasked with running an update for Sage Timberline. When I attempt to run the installer, AMD Catalyst Install Manager pops up and hijacks my install attempt and nothing ends up installed. I'd rather not have to uninstall the driver package just to put a software update in place and then have to re-install the driver software. Is there a work around?
The machines as mentioned above are Dell Vostro 260s, they run Windows 7 64 Bit, Core I3 2120, with 4 GBs of RAM, and AMD Radeon 6450 for the video card.
Thanks for any assistance,
It sounds like this would be a good question for AMD support either by email (http://emailcustomercare.amd.com/) or by phone (http://support.amd.com/us/contacts/Pages/global-technical-support.aspx).
If AMD support says the issue is a Catalyst issue, will you please let me know (post a reply to this thread)?
