    Integrated GPU not getting enumerated

      Hi,

       

      I have a AMD A8-3850 fusion APU and a PCIex based ATI firepro v4800 Graphics Card.

      I have installed the AMD APP SDK 2.6 with Latest ATI catalyst driver 12.1 (I have checked the driver conformance).

      The machine runs ubuntu 11.10.

       

      I needed couple of clarifications regarding the way the integrated GPU (on-chip) should behave.

       

      1. It should be enumerated as another GPU device..right? i,e If I do clinfo, I should be seeing

         two GPU devices and 1 CPU device..is that correct?

       

      2. If the answer to the above question is yes, then I am seeing a problem. When I run clinfo,

         I see only one GPU device (the external one) and one CPU device. I am not able to see

         the APU's integrated gpu getting enumerated.

       

         I also tried running the "SimpleMultidevice" program from the AMD kit sample. (I modified it slightly to

         list the number of GPU and CPU devices. Here is the ouput.

         It is able to see only one GPU device. Can someone please clarify as to what might have gone wrong here?

         Previous couple of posts related to this issue have gone unanswered.
