I'm a Fedora occasional user i tried to install AMD CodeAnalyst (although, i've Intel proc, sorry).
Linux version 18.104.22.168-92.fc14.i686.PAE (email@example.com) (gcc version 4.5.1 20100924 (Red Hat 4.5.1-4) (GCC) ) #1 SMP
I have installed it (not from command-line, just running installator)
Got GUI but when I'm pressing start I get:
Error starting profile
This user does not have sufficient permission to run a profile
Please make sure:
- You are a root or a a memeber of amdca group
- amdca group has the permission to
(from command line)
to add mu login
.... Check group "amdca" : OK
.... Writing to /etc/group : OK
.... Check amdca in /etc/sudoer : OK
But I get exactly the same Error. What am I missing?
For Fedora14, you might need to use the latest version of CodeAnalyst (http://developer.amd.com/Downloads/CodeAnalyst-3_2_14_0311-Public.tar.gz).
However, the current CodeAnalyst on Linux would not work on Intel platform. I would suggest you using OProfile instead at this point.
