AMD Catalyst 10.5 on Ubuntu

Hello

Is Catalyst 10.4 compatible with Ubuntu 10.04 ?

The download page says it works with SDK 2.1

When I try to install it, and then try to restart X, the system remains in a blank screen state and totally unresponsive, I cannot get back to the console even. Even if I reboot the system, I have to go into the recovery console to rollback.

I even tried catalyst 10.5 but I see the same problem.

Can anyone point me to some resources or steps to move further in this ?

Hi,

I had a similar problem in OpenSuse 11.2. I had to start in console mode (runlevel 3), and run aticonfig --initial --adapters=all (without -f).
