    HD 4870 + Catalyst 10.2 = disaster

I have a number of problems with my Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 Vapor-X 1GB and latest catalyst 10.2 drivers. The main and the biggest problem is with the game Prince of Persia. I've shown and described it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljFURRlP2mM.

Another issue is that with 10.2 drivers the refresh rates of my monitor aren't correctly recognized by the card. With 1440x900 resolution i can't set 75Hz refresh rate. The only options are 60Hz and 59Hz (?! 1Hz lower? strange). With older drivers there is no problem to set 1440x900 75Hz.

And last - since catalyst 9.5 i can't run most of the older 2D games (such as Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate, Worms World Party) properly. I experience fps freezes or poor fps overall.

Currently I'm using an old 9.3 driver and it seems that it is working fine. But why do I have such problems with newer versions?

      my PC specs:
      AMD Phenom II x4 945 3GHz

      3GB Ram

      Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P Motherboard

      Sapphire Raden HD 4870 Vapor-X 1GB

      LG Flatron W1934S Monitor (19" 1440x900)

      Windows XP Professional 32-bit
