Why Mobility HD2xxx Series are not in the supported cards list?

As far as I know, the Mobility HD2xxx (M7x) is totally R6xx architecture with 65nm technics and fully supports like DX10 & HD Avivo etc. In fact, I take my Mobility HD2600XT as desktop HD2600 and use desktop drivers with no problem. But why it is not in the supporting list? Does SDK 1.4 really supports them? I think they got to be supported cause they do have stream processors, right? (mhd2600xt/mhd2700 has 120 stream processors, just like mhd3650).

And also I got problem installing CAL on my laptop.

When I click the first Next Button in the CAL installation (it is the right version for my Vista 32bit), a fatal error dialog pops up and said "Installation ended prematurely because of an error". dunno why...I've already upgraded drivers to catalyst to 9.2

Markringo,

There is a difference between not support and does not work. Any chip that is based on the R6XX architecture or higher should work, but not ever chip is supported and thus you might find bugs on the cards that we don't officially support.
