I try to link with the static library(libacml.lib) in VS 2008. The linker reports missing ifconsol.lib. The dll version works fine.
Ifconsol.lib is a part of intel fortran, and I don't have it.
Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?
Try using the libacml_dll.lib library.. and include the libacml_dll.dll during running. It works. For some reason the static linkage needs this ifconsol.lib, it is some old library, used by the fortran code. So it might not run.
I would still like to have this question answered. Sure, the DLL version works, but what if we prefer to use the static version? Is it simply broken? Will it be fixed?
ACML 4.4 successfully links in static form in the presence of libraries from installed Intel compilers.
