libamdcalcl.so missing on Ubuntu 8.10 32bit

I followed the instructions at this link to install brook+ and cal for my ubuntu 8.10 box (32 bit), I downloaded the 32bit run files and everyting sems to be ok, until the step to set PATH, I can not find a lib directory under /usr/local/amdcal/ . Without setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH, I am now getting error message:

"error while loading shared libraries: libamdcalrt.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I searched the whole directory and can not find this file, can someone tell me what is missing?

thanks

found the answer by myself: the library files were somehow renamed as libatical*.so (guess since Catalyst 9.x?).

still very supprised that no one on this forum either complain or answer this question. wonder how people use stream sdk under Linux without solving this problem in the first place?
