Born and raised in Upper Midwest. A divorce later in '66, and here I am...stuck in the Tropical Rainforest they call North Carolina. The divorce was my mom & dad, plus all of my mother's relatives are from this area, so it stood to reason that her mother ( my Grandma ) would come to her rescue, so to speak, and we all ( mom & 3 kids ) were then whisked away...back to where my mom was raised. Just one quick factoid...my mother, just as we were ready to part ways with Ohio, told my dad that he'd be dead ( because of his philandering, lying ways ) would be dead before he was 50. In 1971, making a KILLER living, but having to do a lot of traveling, he was found stuffed under a hotel room bed, murdered. The autopsy showed that although he had enough liquor in his system to kill him anyway, he had been bludgeoned severely about the head, had over a dozen stab wounds, and his neck had been broken. He was 41 years old. So now, here I am, just an old, disabled man that was a commercial / industrial plumber and electrician for 30 years until I broke 3 vertebrae trying to help install a huge, very heavy bathtub for a Carolina Panther NFL player...end of working career. But I did pick up a pretty good wife along the way. We'll celebrate our 25th anniversary in December. Finally, many thanks for allowing me on board the Community train.
