Is it unintended from AMD that there are no motherboards with official ecc support and ipmi for consumer grade cpus like ryzen or at least threadripper as a counterpoint to intel e3 xeon series? Are there any plans to provide a least cost intensive low level server plattform in future?
To be honest I don't know of any non-server board with build-in IPMI/KVM.. Probably some board Vendor
can do that , I just don't know any..
As for ECC it is already supported for TR. Is again a decision of the board vendors(s) to support ECC or not.
I know only one TR board supporting ECC , this one :
Thanks a lot for your answer.
You confirmed my own research in that case.
I really wonder why board vendors dont want to provide server like boards as they do for intel.
