AMD EPYC 7573X is slower than Intel Xeon 6242R

System: Windows server  2019

CPU: AMD EPYC 7573X *2 (Intel Xeon 6242R *2)

Memory: 256GB

Application: Ansys AEDT 2022R1

We tested the compute time with AMD and Intel platform, but the Intel platform compute time is half as much again AMD platform, this is a strange result because the AMD literature says that 7573X is faster than 6242R.

How can we improve AMD platform compute speed? Thanks.

Are you using AMD Toolchain on 7573X?  If not, visit Tools & SDKs - AMD for details.  If you need any help in this regard, the fastest way to reach us is toolchainsupport at amd dot com.

A similar issue is reported here. ANSYS Fluent has also similar problem. I think its a bug of ANSYS. https://forum.ansys.com/forums/topic/new-version-fluent-is-slower-than-2020r2/
