Hello, Everyone,
I'm sure by now you've heard of our newest CPUs! If you haven't, be sure to watch the "AMD Premiere: together we advance_PCs" video featuring our CEO Dr. Lisa Su, announcing our new Ryzen 7000 series, new AM5 platforms, and the prices of each CPU (at 33:07).
Among all the new information, we announced the AMD Extended Profiles for Overclocking (AMD EXPO) technology, supporting numerous of our partner's DDR5 products. I haven't overclocked, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts...how to feel about today's new overclocking technologies?
I certainly prefer the 'one button overclocking' features of motherboard manufacturers (in their BIOS menus) and other simple overclocking features in various tools like Ryzen Master. You are much less likely to damage your system using these tools but it could happen. On the other side of the coin, there are so many variables and settings for just the RAM that it's easy to get confused or lost. Many of these settings a general computer geek will not understand, or at least will not understand what the expected effect of tweaking it will do.
Can I assume that the new AMD EXPO tech will be simple to use too?
