After effect and openGL

Hi guys,

I am pretty new here and excited to be part of this community

I have a basic straightforward question that I hope somebody will be able to answer.

I really can't understand how to switch to GPU in after effect. And after doing some research online it seems that it's not even possible.

This would be very frustrating to discover after all the money my company spent for the iMac I'm working with.

Is there any driver to download maybe?

The graphic card installed is a Radeon Pro 580Screen Shot 2017-11-03 at 12.28.25.png

Re: After effect and openGL

i unfortunately have had the same issues with my RADEON VEGA 56

i just purchased a laptop with Ryzen 2700 8 core processor with AMD graphics chipset

with the promise of it being a rendering beast, but for interactivity in after effects its a NO GO

if you or anyone finds a solution to this seemingly widespread issue of adobe ae not being able to utilize the opengl please let us all know

aside from Element3D, Trapcode Particular also benefits GREATLY from using the GPU
