To kick off 2018, we’re renaming the Enterprise Driver the Radeon™ Pro Software Enterprise Edition and today’s release of the 18.Q1 driver contains the quality and reliability, security features, and simplicity professionals have come to expect of our enterprise driver. There are also some significant performance improvements, exciting new features added from the recent Radeon™ Pro Software Adrenalin Edition release, and updated MxGPU virtualization support for Citrix® XenServer®.

For design and manufacturing applications, when tested using SPECviewperf® 12.1 catia-04 and SPECviewperf® 12.1 snx-02, Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition 18.Q1 is up to 5% faster in Dassault Systèmes® CATIA™3 and up to up to 25% faster in Siemens NX™4 when compared to the Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Driver 17.Q1.
For professionals using media and entertainment applications, when tested using SPECapc® for 3dsmax 2015 and SPECapc® for Maya 2017, Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition 18.Q1 is up to 47% faster in Autodesk® 3ds Max®5 and up to up to 13% faster in Autodesk® Maya® 6when compared to the Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Driver 17.Q1.
Exceptional Security Features
Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition delivers advanced security features, working in tandem with Windows® Defender Device Guard when using Windows® 10 Enterprise edition to help thwart malicious attacks, and when combined with the AMD Secure Processor found in “Vega” technology-based Radeon Pro GPUs, performs boot and firmware validation. During shutdown, Radeon Pro Software continues to help secure graphics bound IP.

The Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition helps deliver that simplicity with a more predictable quarterly release schedule that makes it easier for enterprises to plan their next Radeon Pro Software driver update. In 2018, the Enterprise Edition will be released on the 2nd Wednesday of the 2nd month of each quarter, with the next release after today’s on May 9th, 2018.
Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition 18.Q1 continues to offer the single unified “One Driver” for ALL their graphics hardware, whether it be Radeon™ Pro, select AMD FirePro™, or select Radeon™ products used in the workplace. “One Driver” support is available exclusively to enterprise customers, and those wishing to implement it will need to contact their AMD Sales Representative or fill in the request form here. Enterprise professionals who only require Radeon Pro workstation and virtualization support should download our regular 18.Q1 Enterprise Edition driver.

Radeon Pro Software Adrenalin Edition was AMD’s most comprehensive professional software release of 2017, and now enterprise users can take advantage of the innovative new features introduced in this update.
These include an update to Radeon Pro Software’s “Driver Options”7 feature that gives users with supported graphics cards the ability to swap from Radeon Pro Software to the latest Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition for Radeon™ Pro 18.2.1 driver, helping to accelerate game design workflows.
Radeon™ Pro ReLive, a feature that lets professionals record their workflows for collaboration, presentation, training, and support now features borderless region capture for windowed mode recording of professional applications. We’ve added chroma key support so you can use a green, blue, or magenta screen (or a configurable custom color) to remove the background of your webcam overlay when recording.
Citrix XenServer Support
The Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition 18.Q1 driver is designed to enable MxGPU support for Citrix VDI and application virtualization deployments with updated technical preview support for Citrix XenServer 7.3 and production support for XenDesktop® and XenApp®.

The “Driver Options” feature is an optional installation when setting up the Radeon™ Pro Software Enterprise Driver 17.Q4, and is compatible with the Radeon™ Pro WX series (desktop only) and Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards, and only supports Windows® 10.
