Got new ryzen 2700 cpu. getting very high package temps reading.   with a low cpu temp why?  whats difference by the way.

removed cooler cleaned paste and put fresh paste on.  no difference.

is there bug giving me wrong reading anyone know.

Am miss understanding could any one help please. regards.

Don't know about the 2000 series but the R7 1000 series had a 20C reporting offset.  38C would otherwise be reported as 58C.  This was to keep a "consistent fan policy".
