Hola. Saludos a tod@s.

                                                                                          - Instructions: MMX(+),SSE(1/2/3/4A),SSSE3,X86-64,AMD-V

                                                                                          - L1 Data: 6x16 KBytes               - L1 Trace: 3x64 KBytes

                                                                                          - L2 Cache: 3x2048 KBytes       - L3 Cache: 8192 KBytes

                                                                                          - Cores: 6                                    - Threads: 6

     Gracias.

     Gracias.

You probably need to reset your BIOS either through BIOS itself or by removing the CMOS Battery from the motherboard (Read you manual on how to do this correctly).

Afterwards go to MSCONFIG.exe and set the Processors to "8" and restart and see if Windows recognizes all Cores.

     Hi. Greetings to everyone.

I have installed windows 7 completely updated. I have installed the latest Bios available for my board and I have made sure what processor I could put on my board.

I had an FX 6100 processor and I changed it for an FX 8300.

When I started Windows, I was automatically recognized by the processor and the eight cores were installed individually. In the device manager appear in the section of processors the eight individually as AMD FX (tm) -8300 Eight-Core Processor (3.32 GHz) without any problem.

I have correctly rebooted and looked at the configuration to see if I had accepted them correctly. It gives me the following information in these three programs:

          -     Task Manager. Performance.- 6 cores

          -     MS Config. Start. Advanced boot options. Number of processors: 6

          -     Utilities program of the motherboard:               GIGABYTE 970 A-DS3 Rev. 1.1 Bios F7d

                                                                                          - Specification: AMD FX(tm)-8300 Eight-Core Processor

                                                                                          - Instructions: MMX(+),SSE(1/2/3/4A),SSSE3,X86-64,AMD-V

                                                                                          - L1 Data: 6x16 KBytes               - L1 Trace: 3x64 KBytes

                                                                                          - L2 Cache: 3x2048 KBytes       - L3 Cache: 8192 KBytes

                                                                                          - Cores: 6                                    - Threads: 6

Does not recognize the six cores. I do not know if it has anything to do with the previous one out of six and have to "uninstall" in some way the old configuration, or that does not recognize the micro correctly.

     Thank you.

EDIT: Your answer do not work.

Glad to hear. But what exactly did you do and what software was causing the issue.

I would like to know for a future reference in case other Users have a similar problem. I could suggest your fix.

Thanks in advance.
