I have a Phenom II X4 955e socket AM3 (938) on a Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H Ver2.2.

After a bios flash went wrong the mobo seems dead and i wonder if i can replace it with an AM3+ new mobo.

By the way flashing Gigabyte with @BIOS is a disaster and dual-bios never worked.

Yes, just not the other way around. I have an ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ and I could potentially run a Phenom II AM3 on it.

The support page for the motherboard will list all compatible processors, although I would use the opportunity to go with a Ryzen system.
