I have an FX 8350 and I noticed my performance a while back was being bogged down. So I installed AMD Overdrive and I noticed Turbo Core Control was on so I turned it off. Needless to say it got rid of my problem. The problem I am now having is keeping it off. Every time I wake up my PC or turn it on TCC is always on. I've tried leaving saving my options but that did nothing. How do I permanently turn it off?

Check to see if it is enabled in the bios.

I didn't even think about that. All though my PC crashed twice upon disabling the option from Auto mode, in AMD Overdrive TCC is no longer turned on thank you for your help.
What are the power management settings set for in windows.
What are the temps across the entire system, speccy,
cpuid hardware monitor, core temp, cpuz can give you
info on what the components are doing.
When the system crashes, is it under heavy or light load ?
Well it crashed both times before I could sign in so i cant tell you the temps when it crashed. My temps are low because of my water cooler. It only crashed twice after disabling TCC i was playing some demanding games and no crashes so I think I am fine now.
I'd like to re-open this as my BIOS does not have a turbo setting.
In my specific scenario (AMD A10-6800K, MSI 2AE0 mobo, 20GB RAM), I turn OFF Turbo Core Control, but when I hibernate the machine then power it back on, turbo is re-enabled. Further, AMD Overdrive still thinks TCC is disabled, so I have to exit & restart AMD Overdrive in order to disable TCC again:
Note that this problem does not occur during normal reboot, when I have "Apply my last settings when system boots" checked.
It looks like AMD O should detect resumption from hibernate and re-activate the configured profile.
