Hello,
I did like to build a new setup for myself. But I wondered if I this cpu (the 2700x) is required some new power supply technologies. I searched around the web, and came out here.
I was thinking to attacht it to an Seasonic S12II-Bronze 620W.
Currently im using a Cooer Master B600 600W ATX23 (bought new in 2015). On a 8350 FX. But thats currently not that interresting (alltough that one has a overheating issue...) Could I use this PSU a 2700x without destroying it ?
Thanks
Best regards
You wouldn't destroy anything, your PC would simply shut down if the PSU is underpowered. 8350 is a 125W CPU, 2700X is a 105W CPU, hence your new PC will use less power with the 2700X provided that you don't plan to use 2 graphic cards. Get a 500 - 600W 80+ Gold PSU , don't go for Bronze.
