When using PCIe x16 Graphic Cards, is Ryzen Thread Processing utilized ?
Or does it work only /w on mobo video connections ?
That question doesn't make any sense. Please rephrase.
Maybe you mean to ask whether the number of CPU threads in use depends on whether the system runs an integrated GPU or a discrete GPU?
The answer to this is no. The CPU will assign the same number of threads to its workloads. However, there is a thermal budget for the APU such that the CPU may clock down to accommodate the thermal max when the integrated GPU runs at or near its max.
Thanks for your knowledgeable responses. If one is using PCIe x16 Graphic Cards, the Ryzen Chips (or APU) does the same work, but the internal GPU is not used. So if the GPU section is not used, is it powered off ?
That is correct. For the current generation APUs and upcoming Ryzen-based APUs, the GPU would be powered off.
