What is the Kernel version necessary to make the threadripper 1950x stable using CentOS 7.4?

Using threadripper 1950x, if you want to make CentOS7.4 work stably, which one should you use Kernel version? 3.10? 4.10? 4.16?

I use Linux in Azure and there was a recent kernel update. I suspect that the most recent LTS versions of Linux will work fine. 4.16 was released a while ago.

I see kernel updates every week or so in the data center which is more demanding than any consumer box

in short, Linux will work
