i've some problems with my Threadripper 1950x configuration.
I bought 16Gb*8 dimms (128Gb) but i'm not able to perform the BIOS POST with 8 dimms, removing a dimm i can perform the post but the OS see only 16Gb,
removing other 3 dimms, BIOS post work fine and OS can see (and use) all 64Gb (i know that 7 dimms conf is wrong for a quad channel..its only a test).

problems with the same MB but different RAM, one guy in this thread have memory listed in the ASrock MB QVL but these doesn't work...
I'm really frustrated to see that 8*16Gb conf on threadripper platform is a true nightmare...googling to other X399 brands on Memory QVL
I can see that a very few kit are supported.
I know that BIOS are manufacturers responsability but AMD must work with his partner to support TR platoform (if MB doesn't work correctly, AMD
don't sell their CPU!!).
If I can't use 128Gb i must contact my eshop to ask a full refound and I need to buy an Intel x299 Platform, PLEASE NO!!!!!!!
AMD let's go! work with your partner and give us a better support!!!

8 slots occuped, I can use all 128Gb.
I follow ASRock Taichi thread for the final resolution.
Today I received a new BIOS (not yet released) from ASRock support, looking inside I can see an AGESA update (from 220.127.116.11 to 18.104.22.168).
In the next days I will try to flash MB for testing my "old" and unfunctional dimms.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to use 8 (16gb) memory sticks on my asrock x399 fatal1ty motherboard and it will not POST at all. My computer will not go into the BIOS at all with the 8 sticks of memory. All of the memory works fine and all of the memory slots work fine. The computer will post with 1-7 ram sticks inserted in any position, but with 8 ram sticks it will not POST or go into the BIOS at all. Please fix this with a BIOS update. Thank you
I've 1.5 already and this BIOS fix a very few 128Gb configuration...BIOS 1.5 contain AGESA 22.214.171.124...BIOS 1.7 contain AGESA 126.96.36.199...nothing is changed.
Looking into the forums (Asus/ASrock/Corsair/Gigabyte) you can see people with RAM configuration in QVL but it does not work equally
Until AMD and partners work without a real commitment, 128Gb conf it's a thing for a few (lucky) people.
The computer will not post with 8 memory sticks, there is no way to change the speed if the computer won't post. Plus, Im already running it all at 2133. It just won't post with 8 memory sticks.
1-7 ram sticks works great. It's just when I have 8 ram sticks that it will not post. Lots of people are reporting the same exact issue with multiple threadripper motherboards.
Yes all people has the same issue, 7 dimm post....8 dimm no post, I try also at 2133, 8 dimm no post. very few people are able to run with 8 dimm :/
Some memory in QVL doesn't work, some non in QVL work correctly. There isnt a common speed, some work at 2933 some at 2133.
Motherboard BIOS are to "young"...we are in beta testing and I hate pay 1000 euro for a cpu without a true QA test program.
Seems that all x399 BIOS work with AGESA 188.8.131.52.
