I have bought a EPYC 7742 due processor tower workstation last year, and the memory chip is 64GB*12@2933MHz. Now I am going to buy another tower workstation, the CPU is going to be due EPYC 7H12 (because my supplier cannot get EPYC 7763), and the recommended memory frequency from my supplier is 2666MHz, because the mother board only support up to 2666MHz. I have searched for the profile information of EPYC 7H12, the support memory frequency is up to 3200MHz, so I want to know whether the memory frequency will have large impact in server CPU like desk platform? If the influence is not much, i will choose the memory@2666MHz.
And my new workstation is going to have 64GB*4@2666MHz memory.
