Motherboards where the SVM Mode issue is reproduced:
I have run into that problem myself. I am aware that new a BIOS with new AGESA is available for MSI Max boards but it seems that older boards with the smaller flash ROM space are SOL.
There is a beta version for X570 boards. X570 have the larger sized BIOS which is able to handle the larger CPU tables.
I have used an R5 2400G on a B350 board fine, the X470 however was a real headache and I am thinking of sending it back. The X470 has been the worse for no UEFI and no secure boot etc.
Now I have an X570 and a R5 3600 CPU which is working much better
MSI B350M Bazooka
MSI X470 Gaming Plus
MSI X570-A PRO
I was not able to use my R5 2400G immediately with the X570 as the AGESA was not complete and I griped over it loud enough to get it fixed. CPUs are expensive and it's bad enough that motherboards have problems galore.
