Hello everyone!
I built a new system with the following components:
Ryzen 9 5900x (New)
MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WiFi (New)
Crucial Ballistix 32GB 3600Mhz CL16 (New)
BitFenix 650W (New)
WD Black 1TB M.2 drive (new)
PNY GeForce GTX 1660 Super (6 months old)
Crucial MX500 500GB SSD (4 Years old)
Seagate Barracuda 4TB (1 year old)
Context:
- Every component shows up correctly in the UEFI
- Older components worked perfecly on my older system
- Attempting to boot an OS yields constant BSODs before even booting. Error codes 0xc0000001, 0xc0000098, IRQL not less or equal, page fault in non paged area, and some more... I'm unable to boot any OS on any support.
- When the system restarts after a blue screen the CPU debug LED on my mobo lights up and stays on forever
What I tried:
- Many RAM frequencies
- XMP on/off
- CMS / UEFI
- Ran memtest86 for 5 hours and got no error
- Removed every component but the RAM, GPU, CPU and its cooler, PSU
- Disabling PBO and CBS in the UEFI settings
- increasing the voltage on the DRAM by 0.05V
Nothing helped. I've been troubleshooting for days now, anoying everyone on every forum I could think of. The only explanation I can see is that the CPU or the motherboard is faulty. If anyone has any piece of advice / experience to share I'm all ears!
