My old rig was a i7-860. I had updated the graphics card to a Nvidia GTX 1070Ti. The computer played BF4 as it did before except for higher frame rates. No lag spikes. I decided to update the rest of my system. Here are the specs
CPU- Ryzen 7 2700X
MD - MSI X370 Gaming Plus
Memory - 16GB 3000MHz DDR4
Graphics card - Nvidia GTX 1070Ti (same as before)
Since the upgrade I get tremendous lag spikes while playing Battlefield 4. While playing I am monitoring FPS. I generally run about 200 FPS in Ultra graphics mode, but I will get random lag spikes and the frame rate will drop as low as 20 FPS. Not drop 20FPS. I mean dropping from 200FPS to 20 FPS.
Other than that the computer runs perfectly.
Can someone help me figure out what is going wrong?
