Ryzen 5 7600X runs on 2 cores only

The new processor runs on 2 cores. What could be the reason for this?

Try updating your MSI Motherboard to the latest BIOS version and see if that fixes your issue: https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B650-TOMAHAWK-WIFI/support

AMI BIOS7D75v131(Beta version)2023-01-129.21 MB
  • Description:
    - AGESA ComboPI 1.0.0.4 update.

Make sure that you physically have enabled all cores of your CPU in BIOS Settings.

You can try also by having Windows activate all the cores from here:

Press Windows Key + x from the keyboard->type msconfig->Click on Boot->Advanced Options->Check on Number of Processors->Now select the Processor that you want to activate->Click on Apply->OK.

Restart your PC if you made any changes in BIOS and or in Windows to see if all the cores are now enabled.

Patlfc, did you do a fresh install of Windows? Please post all your system components and screenshots of Ryzen Master (RM) both Basic and Advanced views while running Cinebench R23. Pictures are difficult to read, please use screenshots.  Thanks and enjoy, John.
