Ryzen 5 5500 shows 2 cores and 4 threads

Subject says it all, but what's weird is that in my device manager it clearly shows me 12 threads installed. I am using an asrock 520m motherboard and if it really is a bios problem i'm gonna need some help guiding me through how to set it so it uses all 6 cores.

Goldman2721. I suspect you did not install a fresh copy of Windows. If that is not the case or does not correct the problem, then post all your system's particulars. Thanks and enjoy, John.

I have the same situation as the person above too. I will upgrade to Window 11. and see if it still the same. I'll post an update.AMD support.png

Have you checked your motherboard CPU support page to see what BIOS version is required for the Ryzen 5 5500?

I fixed by going into "msconfig" > Boot > Advance options > uncheck the number of processors. Then restart the pc. And it work now. Cores fixed.png
