Hello,
So i've just finished upgrading my new computer with an Ryzen 5 3600X, but i feel like the temperatures are too high.
I've reach almost 50°C only by opening steam.
What i found really weird is that my previous build was using an FX-8300 (same TDP as the 3600X) with the exact same cooler (Cryorig H7 plus) and it barely reach 50°C even when gaming.
So i'm wondering if this is normal?
I have the same problem, with noctua nh-u9s 50-52° in Windows, no load
Well nothing changed since my first post but at least my CPU is okay, to be more specific it sits around 30-40°C and sometimes it spikes at 50°C without doing anything (except running SIV)
These 3rd gen Ryzen chips do run hotter even when idling or just browsing etc.
My 3700X spikes up to 55c in Windows with the stock Wraith Prism cooler when idling or browsing but only runs between 60-70c during gaming so it's fine.
You can activate Windows Power Saving plan to limit the chip to 2200 MHZ during light use to lower temperatures then put it back to Balanced for gaming or heavy use.
If you see what your temperatures are like during heavy gaming or an intensive load that is more important.
