Ryzen 5 1600 AF and A320M Pro-VH Plus motherboard

Does anyone know if the new (last year) Ryzen 5 1600 cpu (YD1600BBAF) is compatible with the MSI A320M Pro-VH Plus motherboard? Not listed on the MSI compatibility page, but other cpus in the "Pinnacle Ridge" family, e.g. YD2600BBM6IAF (Ryzen 5 2600), are listed... if not the specific model motherboard, the A320 chipset? Thanks!

That Ryzen 5 1600 AF is actually a rebranded Ryzen 5 2600 processor.

Read this Tech site review on that processor: The US$85 AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AF looks to be a new 12nm Zen+ part and even outperforms the Ryzen 5 2600...

Your motherboard does supports both the Ryzen 5 2600 and Ryzen 5 1600 processor with the correct BIOS/UEFI version installed. Support For A320M PRO-VH PLUS | Motherboard - The world leader in motherboard design | MSI Global

Your best bet is to open an MSI Support ticket and asked them if the BIOS/UEFI version for the Rzyen 5 2600 will support the Ryzen 5 1600AF processor.

Yeah, I read that review, which is why I'm looking into it. Your point that it is in fact a rebadged Ryzen 2600 (@slightly lower clock) is a good one. I'm guessing it's probably compatible, just wanted to hear if anyone has actually tried one in an A320 motherboard.
