ryzen 3 3200ge motherboard compatibility

Hello. I have this problem. I bought a motherboard Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4. In the list of compatible processors I saw ryzen 3 3200G, but I bought 3 3200GE. And now I have a problem. The computer starts up, the CPU cooler is spinning, but the image on the display comes out 1 of 20 times. Beeper at startup silent. The motherboard had the bios version 4.10, I rolled it back to 3.20. By some miracle Windows started, but after reboot everything started again.

I've changed the RAM, power supply, tried to run without video card, without RAM, but the result is the same. And I want to ask those who may know, is ryzen 3 3200 GE compatible with Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4? Or should I buy a different CPU? Or am I just an idiot who can't build a PC?

According to their supported CPU list

https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/fatal1ty%20b450%20gaming%20k4/index.asp#CPU

it's compatible

Update BIOS to latest version 5.10

Of course your setup isn't going to boot without RAM installed

What RAM DO you have installed? (They should be installed in slots A2/B2 if 2 sticks)

When it does start, how are your CPU temps?

What power supply?

Reseat your CPU and make sure you don't have any bent pins

Reseat your RAM and make sure it fully "clicks" in

Reseat all your power connections to motherboard (and GPU if it requires it)

Make sure your CPU heatsink is mounted properly

Make sure your motherboard is mounted properly and you don't have a misplaced motherboard stand off shorting things out

You can try disconnecting all case connected headers (front panel, USB, front sound ...etc) and just jumper the power pins on your motherboard with a flathead screwdriver or similar to start up  your setup and see if it auto-magically starts all the time

According to ASRock CPU SUPPORT LIST for your motherboard it does support the Ryzen 3 3200GE with BIOS Version P3.20 installed: https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/fatal1ty%20b450%20gaming%20k4/index.asp#CPU

The latest BIOS version for your Motherboard is P5.10 from 08/17/2021: https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/fatal1ty%20b450%20gaming%20k4/index.asp#BIOS

I would update your BIOS to the latest version BUT READ THE YELLOW BIOS INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY FIRST BEFORE UPDATING the BIOS.

According to ASRock BIOS instruction YOU MUST UPDATE FIRST the Motherboard's AMD all in 1 with VGA driver ver:18.50.16.01_WHQL or newer Chipset driver: https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/fatal1ty%20b450%20gaming%20k4/index.asp#Download

I would first install the  AMD all in 1 with VGA driver ver:18.50.16.01_WHQL link include both the CHIPSET and Graphics Driver then update the CHIPSET and VGA Driver which are now separate downloads from ASRock Support for your motherboard.

Thanks for the advice, but the BIOS update didn't help much. After 2 normal runs, the problem repeated itself. After 2 days of tinkering, I found out that the video core of the processor was competing with the installed cards. It seems to me that the motherboard didn't understand which image to output, hence the problems. I didn't mention that I was building a mining kit. After replacing the processor with a 5 3600 everything started working fine. That said, the 3 3200 GE also works fine on another motherboard with one video card installed.
