Prime95 indicates Hardware failure on FX-6300, Core 3 (Rounding Error)
I was running a stress test on my system, using Prime95 (I overclocked my CPU to 4.02GHz, and my Radeon R9 270X to 1150MHz), and Prime95 was doing the CPU torture test, when it reported a rounding error. It was expecting <0.4, but it instead recived 0.484375, when doing a calculation, and classified it a hardware failure. This error only cropped up on "Logical Processor #3", core 3. Now, I don't get any errors, I've run this system for near a month now with the overclock, and I'd only gotten a couple of BSODs when I was running my R7 260X a little richer than my system seemed to like. I've since upgraded my PSU (from 600W to 750W), and my graphics card (from the R7 260X to an R9 270X, both XFX). My question is this: Is this something I should be worried about, and maybe see about getting replaced, or am I just jumping at shadows? This is my first foray into overclocking, so I guess it's only natural that I might be a bit jumpy about something like this.
