I'm about to build me a new desktop. I'm considering an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and an ASUS X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero. I've not been PC building for about 8 years now and a lot has changed. So I decided to ask y'all to chime in with your recommendations. I have a list of questions that you might provide some help on:
1-Is the 5900X and the Dark Hero a good match
2-What cooler would you recommend
3-What memory (I've been looking a G.Skill Trident and Corsair Vengence... 32 Gig and 3600Mhz)
I've not started looking at an SSD yet but would like to hear from you
I'm in my mid 70's living off Social Security so money is a consideration. That being said... I've been saving for awhile and would like to build a robust system. I'm not a gamer now (I was about 25 years ago) but I am considering getting back into it.
