Hi everybody :

 Could I use an AMD Ryzen 5-3400G on a Gigabyte X570 Elite Motherboard ?  Looking at the specs for this board, I'm getting two different compatibilities. One says to use the 5000 series. The other says, use either a 3rd  or 2nd Gen CPU.  Advice?

According to your Motherboard's CPU SUPPORT LIST it does support that APU with BIOS version F3: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X570-AORUS-ELITE-rev-10/support#support-cpu

The motherboard's Spec does mention it supports the 4000 series APUs:

You didn't post the full Gigabyte Motherboard's model name. You left out Aorus.
