MCE: Micro-op cache data parity error Ryzen 5 3600

Jump to solution

Issue Description:

Ever since December last year I got any application crashing after about 10 seconds. Searching for the error I had replaced and tested so far the GPU, RAM, PSU, drives and MB. Last week I installed the new MB and tired to install Windows resulting in errors during the middle half of the process. After trying for about 5 installs I swapped to a Linux distro and it froze. Soon enough I got a distro straight into RAM and checked dmesg. In there I found several segfaults and 2 MCE errors. From my experience the MCE errors come in 1 about every 3-4 mins.

MCE error

Since you basically replace every major PC Component it seems like the AMD Processor is defective.

I suggest you open an Online AMD Warranty Request and see if they believe your processor needs to be RMAed to be replaced or checked from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/warranty-information/rma-form

AMD Warranty starts after the Retailer/Vendor's Warranty ends.

Okay I am RMAing the CPU to my vendor first. Anything I should look out for when I would RMA to AMD?

No, the Warranty page gives you all the information you need to fill it out.  You will need official Proof of Purchase receipt to verify that you are the original owner.
