I bought 2700x system on the hope of running rocm, but installation failed and no clear guidance

Hi AMD gurus,

I have built a working system running AMD 2700 and GFE 730 on MSI board, now trying to install rocm, unfortunately, I tried Ubuntu,

kernel 4.15.16, 4.13.36, and  both failed. There is no clear documentation on comptable (tested and verified) kernel list that I can follow.

I have wasted considerate time and resources on this, cam someone point me to the right source so I can bring ROCM up and running?

Thanks and Regards,

S

sarahst, I think the real problem is that officially W10 is the only 'supported' OS.  There are people here with Linux knowledge (not I) who can help.  Please search.  You need to do much more consistent and complete job with your specifications: 2700 or 2700X?, UEFI version, power supply, part names such as memory, MB, Video, etc.  Good luck and enjoy, John.
