HWiN064 senses HX as opposed to HS CPU??

Hi...I have a question,

I bought an ASUS ROG ZEPHYRUS G15 GA503 QR laptop not quite a year ago (new).

It was touted as having a RYZEN 9 5900HS CPU.

Various programs (HWiN064 for example) I've used to check/gage/track temps and performance indicate there is a Ryzen 9 5900HX on the motherboard.

Don't misunderstand...I'm not complaining but I am confused. The only reason I didn't buy the "HX" initially, had to do purely with the extra cost of it over the "HS" powered laptop.

My question is this: Why would these programs indicate an HX if it was in fact, an HS? Are these 2 chips so close in performance that the software gets confused (or maybe the laptop was mislabeled at the factory.... giggle)?

Thanks for any info that helps to clarify.

You could double check with CPU-Z, and/or ask on the hwinfo64 forum.
