Really??? as in i'm surprised, I had a kernel 41 error recently So surprised it was the replacement brand new motherboard Gigabyte sent me for an issue I had,m and I had just happened by sheer chance to have researched your error log message and swapped out 3 power supplies and it didn't fix it for me either!!!

That Kernel 41 error turned out to be the motherboard, it completely fell over the next day, and refused to boot up everytime, Barely made it to windopws in 10-15 power ons, so Toms hardware, stating it's absolutely a PSU, (insert derogatory words for TOM here)

Swap your motherboard!

Only common hardware item is your motherboard?

You tried the cpu on your mates motherboard and it was fine?

Seems definitive Motherboard faulty.

The first error about permission is common as muck and easily (well not so easy) fixable.. bit of registry and file permission I get it, most people do.

The second!!!! bus interconnect.. Change that Motherboard, you said your CPU(actual processor) runs fine in your mates PC?????

Sorry about the PSU misinformation, I blame Toms hardware again.

Re: FX-8300 Freezing Randomly

From the log, always appear the same alleged errors (CPU Bus Interconnect, AMD Northbridge Sync), so the answer is always the same:

Pump up the vcore and CPU voltage / NB (NB core). Because of your MB VRM section, the latter may also require 1.31v ~ 1.33v

Rarely, it may be involved NB MB soldered on, so you may be interested in its voltage, or the Hyper Transport voltage ...

Re: FX-8300 Freezing Randomly

Griz, pumping more volts would be fine to do, if he's overclocking and gets this error, you sound like an Overclocking pro and naturally going to the squeeze a few more volts into it idea, and that may just work, but IMHO, but if he's not overclocking, that board may very well be faulty too, cpu's rarely fall over so he may have had a lightning storm or another power spike, and had a few extra volts alright. and therefore not just his cpu fell over the motherboard as well and it's just a little more subtle in it's errors?

If the board is under warranty, be a good time to RMA(return material authorization) it, while he can get it replaced.. if it isn't, i'd try your idea..

Plus then any overclocking the OP does in the future will have more head room.

NOT dissing you, just saying.

kind of answers your own question that TB, is it under warranty still? Your Motherboard..?

\

If not and your short of coin like many people these days, try what grizoid said, just lower the north bridge, or add a little extra volts to it. Check chipset heatsink, checks chipset temps,

But here, I think we should agree, that boards a bit sick.

Yes, replace the mainboard, it would be the right thing.

Overclocking aside, considered the VRM section a bit lacking, could only enter the BIOS and over-voltage lightly HT NB (no CPU / NB).

P.S. I do not know if the BIOS of M5A78L-M LX, has the same features.

Hello!

I've been looking in forums for about 2 months and so far have not been able to figure out the cause of my freezes. I installed a computer with electrical parts about 6 months ago:

  • NVIDIA Graphics Card:

             GTX 1060 6Gb Evga

  • Operating System:
    • Windows 10 64bit
  • Motherboard

1ª - ASUS M5A97 LE r2.0 (was changed because I thought it was the problem)

          2ª - MSI 970 Gaming

  • CPU/APU
    • FX 8300
  • Power Supply Unit  Make, Model & Wattage

     Corsair cx500 500W 80 Plus Bronze

  • 8GB RAM (1x Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz DDR3)

The computer simply freezes the screen in stock or full load does not matter. I have this HWmonitor screen in use with an open game.
