Difference in 2 Ryzen CPU's

Hi guys, I'm about to purchase Ryzen CPU, but I'm having a trouble choosing the right one so i decided to come to this forum.  I'm not sure what is the difference between this one AMD Ryzen 9 5950X  and this one AMD Ryzen 9 5900X , the price is lets say noticeable different, the first one is more expensive and I want to be sure if I will get same/similar results with the less expensive one, I mean if the difference is small than my choice will be easy Btw my GPU is RX580 8 GB. Thanks in advance!

What are you planning on using your computer for depends which processor might be best.

From this tech site comparing the 5900X and 5950X: https://www.wepc.com/news/amd-ryzen-5950x-vs-5900x/

This website gives you a comparison of performance between the two processors: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-9-5950X-vs-AMD-Ryzen-9-5900X/4086vs4087

The price is unreal and there is no need to add more money for small differences.

So this one is pretty good AMD Ryzen 9 5900x

This actually depends on the scope of tasks you are going in for. If you are heavily multi-threaded, and want a workhorse PC rather than a game station, the +4 extra cores of 5950 may be worth the investment long-term, after all, it's the final AM4 CPU, the next gen will be AM5, so no upgrades for this system (unless AMD suddenly gets generous with 5950X3D in the future).

If you are a gamer/streamer mostly, 5900 has better value/performance balance for your tasks.

If you are a heavy gamer but don't stream/record much, then 5800X3D should be your go-to (or maybe even "just" a 5800X, the difference between them is not that great, you'd be GPU-bound in a vast majority of titles unless you play competitively on corresponding graphics settings).
