So I'm actually not sure how long this has been an issue with my CPU but it says that it has 3751 threads in task manager and yesterday my fans went max speed sounded like a jet engine and it said I had 6.2 GHz. Does anyone have a solution I already reset bios but I have not tried updating bios and I installed the new chipset drivers. I believe this is a bios issue because my GPU also went max when my CPU went to 6.2 GHz. Also not sure if the threads is an issue since it says 2,285 for my friend but the GHz jumping that much is 100% an issue.
I have a B350M Pro VDH motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU, and a Radeon RX 570.
The 6.2 GHz screenshot is from yesterday and the 3.12 GHz one is on boot.
No clue about the reported speed, but bear in mind that Threads, as reported by the task manager, does not represent CPU actual threads, but the number of active threads in a process.
