According to Gigabyte Support your Motherboard (version 1.0) supports the Ryzen 5-1500X with BIOS version F2.

Copied from your Motherboard's CPU Support page: GA-A320M-HD2 (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global:

AMDRyzen 5 1500X4C/8T3.5GHz / 3.7GHz2MB16MBN/ASummit Ridge14nmB165WF2

If you have BIOS version F2 or later version installed than you can use your Ryzen 5 -1500X.

You should update your Motherboard AMD Chipset and BIOS:

AMD CHIPSET - Version 17.40 - 02/12/2018

BIOS - version F23d - 04/17/2018

If you install the Ryzen 5 -1500X and it works correctly with the current BIOS then you don't need to update the BIOS but you should update the AMD Chipset if you haven't yet. It will make the CPU and Motherboard work correctly together.
