Can't inject DRAM ECC error with CPU R1606G

Hi folks,

My device CPU is R1606G and I would like to do DRAM ECC injection test.

I saw document "Processor Programming Reference (PPR) for AMD Family 17h Model 60h, Revision A1 Processors" chapter 3.6.5.

And follow the example to inject ECC error. But I can't inject the error, and seems I can't write the register.

Here is my test command.

/* DRAM Error Inject */
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x60.l=0x00050DB0
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l=0x10005
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l
--> 00000000
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x60.l=0x00150DB0
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l=0x10005
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l
--> 00010005

/* DRAM ECC Error Inject Control */
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x60.l=0x00050d88
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l=0x7
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l
--> 00000000
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x60.l=0x00150d88
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l=0x7
# setpci -s 00:00.0 0x64.l
--> 00000007

Does my test flow and command are correct?

Thanks.

You have an Embedded AMD Processor.

According to CPU World that processor does support ECC RAM MEMORY.

Does the Motherboard that has the Embedded AMD Processor support ECC RAM?

Found  this old TechPowerUp thread about Inject ECC Memory Test: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/ecc-error-injection.262543/

It mentions to run MEMTEST64 to see if it is available. Also mentions about enabling in BIOS.

You can also open a Online AMD Support Ticket and they will assign you a Embedded Specialist to help you from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form

There are many way that can help you to register your mouse clicks.

1. On Windows 10, head to Settings> Devices> Mouse.

2. Under “ Elect your primary button,” insure the option is set to “ Left.” On Windows 7, head to Control Panel> Tackle and Sound> Mouse and insure “ Switch primary and secondary buttons” is n’t checked. On both Windows 10 and 7, head to Control Panel> Tackle and Sound> Mouse.

3. Insure the “ Turn on Clicklock” option is unbounded then. It’s possible that a tackle motorist issue could be causing issues with feting your mouse button’s clicks, too. To test the speed of mouse clicks

visit at http://cpstester.fr/.

4. You can do so by right- clicking the Launch button on Windows 10 and opting “ Device Director.” Expand the “ Mice and other pointing bias” section, detect your mouse, right- click it, and elect “ Update Motorist.” Click “ Search automatically for streamlined motorist software,” and Windows will essay to find new motorists that match the mouse.
